facebook = enrolment success

We were delighted to see client, St Patrick's Technical College, in the Advertiser Education Now section yesterday. tatu assisted them with the creation of their facebook page during the original enrolment campaign and introduced them to Hughes PR to assist with a more sophisticated ongoing plan. For those of you considering a Facebook page, the St Pat's experience is a good example of doing 'it' for the right reasons not just because 'everyone else' is doing it.

Read this interesting article by Jane Caro, author of The Stupid Country: How Australia is Dismantling Public Education and What Makes A Good School? and see what you think.

The power of scholarships

A $117million dollar gift - it's hard to imagine. But what an amazing gift and the story behind it is a good example of the power of scholarships.  Michael Moritz is gifting this amount to create “an organism in perpetuity that will finance the path of people from less fortunate backgrounds"

Moritz said he was inspired to support undergraduate education because his father was a beneficiary of scholarships. Who can you think of in your world that this story might resonate with?
